More than 1,000 residents from various ethnicities attended the Sungai Siput Sub District Level Chinese New Year Feast at the Shing Chung National Secondary School (SMJK) field last Saturday.
The programme started from 9 am to 12 noon and was jointly organised by Sungai Siput Member of Parliament, Jalong State Assembly Member, Lintang Assembly Member and School Management Board (LPS) Shing Chung.
Chairman of the state Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, Loh Sze Yee was also present at the programme.
Sze Yee said, all ethnic groups enjoyed the cultural performances while tasting the deliciousness of traditional food and the beautiful and harmonious composition of the landscape.
“I hope the harmonious beauty of this multi-racial and ethnic community will continue to be a legacy and may it continue,” he said in a statement on his Facebook recently.
