Police requesting information on highway accident

Police are asking for the public’s help in passing on information regarding an accident between a lorry and a trailer near km 350.4 of the North-South Highway, northbound, today.
Tapah District Police Chief Superintendent Wan Azharuddin Wan Ismail said members of the public who have information about the accident are asked to contact investigating officer Inspector P. Prathiparaj at 014-6178095.
Elaborating on the accident, he said the accident was believed to have occurred when a lorry loaded with fish that was being driven by two men was on its way from Kuala Lumpur to Ipoh.
“The truck lost control and hit the rear of the trailer which was travelling in the same direction.
“In this accident, the passenger of the lorry, a man, died at the scene while the driver was injured and taken to Tapah Hospital for treatment,” he said.
