Perak helps entrepreneurs develop the agricultural sector

The state government through the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation (PPPNP) has provided an interest-free loan financing scheme.
The financing scheme is specific to agricultural entrepreneurs, livestock, fisheries and Small and Medium Industries (SME) products to develop entrepreneurs in the field of agriculture.
The chairman of the Women, Family, Social Welfare and Entrepreneur Development Committee, Salbiah Mohamed said, among the criteria for the loan scheme is that the entrepreneur has worked for at least six months in the field applied for.
“The amount of loans we give is from RM3,000 up to RM100,000 and a moratorium for the first 6 months.
“PPPNP also provides grants for successful Asnaf (hardcore poor) programmes that carry out activities in the field of agriculture to expand their enterprises.
“Those interested in applying for this scheme can visit the website www.pppnp.gov.my,” she said.
Salbiah completed the presentation at the Indera Mulia Stadium, yesterday.
In addition, she, together with the Chief Operating Officer of PPPNP, Mohd. Kahar Mukktaruddin and the Director of the Perak State Entrepreneurs’ Secretariat (STeP), Mohamad Rozlan Mohamad Razalli also witnessed the signing of the memorandum of understanding (MoU) and the exchange of MoUs between MAMA KEEN Empire and Syarikat Lavasse Berhad.
