A man was trapped and became injured after the lorry he was driving hit the back of a trailer at kilometre (km) 252 of the North-South Highway, heading north,today.
According to the operations commander of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Senior Fire Officer II Meor Kamarolhasnin Baheran, he received a call regarding the incident at 4.39 am.
He also said that members of the Kuala Kangsar Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the scene of the incident.
“The accident between the two vehicles caused the Isuzu lorry to be crushed in the front. The victim was trapped and injured.
“While the trailer driver did not suffer any injuries,” he said in a statement on Monday.
He said the firemen rescued the victim using a rescue power unit, who was then handed over to the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM) for further treatment.
