Local authorities (PBT) play an important role in ensuring the sustainability of prosperous urban areas for the people of this state.
According to Perak State Deputy Secretary (Management), Datuk Norsham Rahman, he also hopes that the efforts and excellence will continue on an ongoing basis.
“I hope that today’s meeting will be a catalyst for the Kuala Kangsar Municipal Council (MPKK) to continue its excellent service regardless of time.
“I would also like to take this opportunity to wish Happy 19th Municipal Anniversary to all MPKK members,” he said.
He said this when representing the State Secretary, Datuk Ahmad Suaidi Abdul Rahim officiating the MPKK Appreciation Ceremony 2023 and the Excellent Service Award 2022 at the Perak Jubilee Hall, on Monday.
Also present were MPKK Chairman, Tpr. Zulqarnain Mohamad and Kuala Kangsar District Officer, Zulhisham Ahmad Shukori.
MPKK was established on January 1, 1980, as a District Council, now 43 years old and on February 18, 2004, this administration was upgraded to a Municipal Council.
At the event, he also presented the 2022 Outstanding Service Award to 22 recipients.
Skilled Certificate to 99 recipients, 2022/2023 Retiree Appreciation Certificate to 11 recipients, Long Service Certificate to seven recipients and 2022 Certificate of Appreciation for the Year 2022 to five recipients.
Meanwhile, Nurul Hidayah Harun and Mohamad Zaidi Ahmad Zamani received the Perdana Award as a sign of appreciation for their service and contribution to the organisation and community of Kuala Kangsar.
They each received a Bank Simpanan Nasional (BSN) premium savings certificate worth RM5,000, a plaque and a certificate.
