Two Awards for MBI

The Ipoh City Council (MBI) achieved success by winning two Diamond Category Awards in the 2022 Low Carbon City Award Ceremony.
The award marks MBI as the only Local Authority (PBT) in the state of Perak to receive recognition under the initiative of the Ministry of Environment and Water through the Malaysian Green Technology and Climate Change Corporation (MGTC).
The ceremony also celebrated all the departments and agencies involved in initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions in their respective areas through the Low Carbon Cities 2030 Challenge (LCC2030C) programme.
The success is for the 4 Diamond Recognition Award category which is the Low Carbon Urban Zone Category (Central Planning Area) and the 5 Diamond Award, Low Carbon Partner Category (UTC PERAK Building).
Plaques and certificates were presented by the Minister of Natural Resources, Environment and Climate Change, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad to MBI Senior Director-Finance, Hajah Saidatul Akma Jamaludin representing the Mayor.
