MANJUNG: A man died after the Perodua Kancil he was riding in crashed into a seven-meter deep ditch on Jalan Utama, Dato’ Seri Kamarudin, here today.
Head of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Senior Fire Officer II, Adee Noor Othman said, the 38-year-old victim was confirmed dead at the scene of the incident.
He also said that his party received a call regarding the incident at 9.05 am before members of the Seri Manjung Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location.
“Members used rescue equipment to remove the trapped victim and the victim was confirmed dead by hospital medical officers.
“The victim was then handed over to the police for follow-up action,” he told reporters.
The operation ended at 10.12 am.
