IPOH – The reins of command of the 2nd Infantry Brigade (2 Bgd) changed when Brigadier General Mohd Azmurin Mat Khalib finished his duties here.
He will move out to serve as Chief Provost Marshal at the Malaysian Armed Forces Headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.
Mohd. Azmurin was appointed to lead 2 Bgd two years ago.
The responsibility as Commander of the 2nd Bgd is now borne by Brigadier General Asri Shukor who previously worked at the Army Headquarters.
The handover ceremony was completed at the 2nd Bgd Headquarters Parade Ground last Friday.
Earlier, Mohd Azmurin received a salute and then inspected the parade of 2 Bgd citizens for the last time.
In addition, a dinner was held at Dewan Komatra, Camp Remelies as a final sign of appreciation for the services and sacrifices of the former 2nd Bgd Commander and his wife.
Meanwhile in his speech, Mohd. Azmurin Dalam reminds all levels of officers and members to carry out their entrusted duties in the best possible way.
He also hopes that the 2 Bgd team will continue to excel in the future.
