IPOH: A motorcycle workshop was destroyed in a fire incident in Jalan Silibin, today.
Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak Chief of Operations, Senior Fire Officer II, Mohd Shahpri Shahruddin said the fire also destroyed a Yamaha motorcycle.
He said that his party received a call regarding the incident at 10.55 am before members of the Fire and Rescue Department (BBP) with the assistance of BBP Pasir Puteh rushed to the location.
“The fire involved an empty workshop that was not operating and 70 per cent was destroyed by fire and a motorcycle.
“However, the fire did not involve any victims,” he told reporters.
He said firemen carried out operations to extinguish the fire by using two streams of 300-foot hoses and two water fountains sourced from fire hydrants.
The operation ended completely at 1.02 pm.
