GOPENG: The resurfacing of the road at the entrance of the Lawan Kuda Market, improvement of ventilation in the market as well as planning for the Lawan Kuda public hall are among the main issues that are in focus.
Chairman of the State Housing and Local Government Committee, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching said, she had conducted a site visit around Lawan Kuda Baru and Gopeng Jaya today.
She also said that participating in the visit were the Member of Parliament for Gopeng, Tan Kar Hing, the Chairman (YDP) of the Kampar District Council, Ahmad Suqairy Alias and members of the council under the Teja State Legislative Assembly (DUN).
Sandrea said again, the visit was aimed at resolving some of the people’s issues in addition to discussing upgrade work and planning for this year.
“YDP brought the good news that the water cooler at the Pedja Lawan Kuda Center will be replaced as the existing one breaks down too often and needs to be repaired.
“We then moved to Gopeng Jaya to deal with the drainage system issue in the commercial area and also discussed improving the lighting system for the padang jogging track there,” she said.
She, who is also a member of the Teja State Assembly, hopes that with the appointment of the new Council Members, she can help the representative service centre to jointly solve the people’s issues and mobilize local development.
