TELUK INTAN: A house measuring 20×40 square feet was destroyed in a fire in Parit Rawi, Kampung Sungai Buaya, here today.
According to the Head of Operations of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak, Senior Fire Officer II, Asroy Basir, the fire also involved three motorcycles.
He further said that his party received a call regarding the incident at 12.03 in the afternoon, before members of the Kampung Gajah Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with the help of the Teluk Intan BBP rushed to the location.
“The fire involved a class B house destroyed by 80 per cent, three SYM motorcycles, Modenas Kriss and Ego Advantage were also burnt.
“However, it does not involve any victims,” he told reporters on Sunday.
He added that the firemen used a 400-foot flow, two machinery tank water fountains with an open water source until the fire was completely extinguished.
The operation ended completely at 1.57 pm.
