KAMPAR: The success of the teenage girls from Perak who will fly to Japan to represent Malaysia in the Jenesys U-17 Women’s Football Memorial Cup is quite an accolade and one to be proud of.
According to the Tualang Sekah State Assembly Member, Azlan Helmi, the talented youth from Kampung Tanjung Bangkong, Malim Nawar, is expected to bring glory to the name of Malaysia, especially the state of Perak.
He said that Nurfarisha Karmila Shamsol Riduan, 16, is one of the representatives in the Malaysian U-17 women’s soccer team that will participate in the tournament in the middle of this month.
“The Tualang Sekah Assemblyman Service Center Office welcomes the presence of a Perak woman representative who is about to fly to Japan.
“Before that, they will undergo training for seven days in Kelana Jaya, Selangor before being based in Japan for 10 days.
“Nurfarisha Karmila is a student from Sekolah Menengah Kebangsaan Malim Nawar. The state government supports and is proud of this young talent.
“I also pray for Nurfarisha Karmila to be successful in the field she ventures into,” he said.
In the meantime, he also prayed for the Malaysian U-17 women’s football team to achieve success and make Malaysia famous in the tournament.
