TAIPING – Cycling is one of the attractions for visitors to Taman Tasik Taiping for recreation while watching the beautiful panorama.
Recently, three types of electric bicycles were introduced Taiping Municipal Council (MPT) in collaboration with Syarikat Cycledios Perak Sdn. Bhd.
Each Power-Assisted Fat Angel (PA FAT), Power-Assisted Fatty Angel (PA FATTY) and Power-Assisted Fatty + 1 Angel (PA FATTY+1).
This is in addition to the existing three types of bicycles namely City Angel, Twin Angel and Family Angel.
All three types of electric bicycle models are equipped with electric motors to assist cycling.
The battery box supplies a maximum power of 0.25 kW with its output gradually decreasing and stopping when the bike reaches a speed of 20 kilometres per hour or if the rider stops pedalling.
This bicycle meets the specifications of Malaysia Standard, MS2514:2015 Electric Bicycles (Electric Pedal Assisted Bicycles) and complies with all the regulations that have been set under the Road Transport Act 1987.
Currently, only seven PA FAT units are available with a rental rate of RM20 for 30 minutes, 16 PA FATTY units with a rental rate of RM30 for 30 minutes and six PA FATTY+1 units with a rental rate of RM 35 for 30 minutes.
With the addition of these three electric bicycles, the total number of bicycles provided by Cycledios is 145 units of bicycles in Taman Tasik Taiping.
Earlier, the launch ceremony of this new product was completed by the Chairman of the Taiping Municipal Council, Khairul Amir Mohamad Zubir at Taman Tasik Taiping recently.
Also present was the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kedios Group, Dr Kedios Ooh and the CEO CycleDios, Adamms Chooi.
