SIMPANG PULAI: Two were injured today, in an accident involving two vehicles, namely a lorry and a car at kilometre (km) 279.3 of the North-South Highway, heading north.
Perak Fire and Rescue Department’s (JBPM) Chief of Operations, Senior Fire Officer II Hazuraimi Iskandar Harun said he received a call regarding the incident at 9.58am.
He also said that the accident caused the 59-year-old man who was the 1-ton lorry driver and a 23-year-old woman who was the Toyota Vios driver to be injured.
“On arrival, members from the Simpang Pulai Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) found two vehicles involved in an accident.
“The fire brigade then carried out rescue work using special equipment, then the injured were taken to Raja Permaisuri Bainun Hospital via ambulance,” he told reporters.
The operation ended at 10.32 am.
