IPOH – The good relationship between Perak state media and Universiti Pendidikan Sultan Idris (UPSI) was further strengthened through the afternoon tea session held yesterday.
The ceremony held at Hotel Impiana was attended by about 30 media personnel from various agencies including Ipoh Echo and Peraktastic which took place in a relaxed atmosphere.
This UPSI Collaboration Program with Media Perak is among other things to exchange ideas and create a network of cooperation that can be explored.
Director of UPSI’s Corporate Communications Division, Prof. Associate Dr Mohd. Izwan Shahril said, He thanked the media for their support in reporting news about the university.
He said the media’s role helps convey broad information to the community, especially the latest knowledge and education offered by the university.
“I appreciate the willingness of the media practitioners who are willing to take the time to attend the afternoon tea session together to discuss the two-way communication network.
“This includes media development, activity planning and collaboration between the two parties to improve the image of the university,” he said.
Indirectly, this has had a positive impact on a university in building an education brand at the national level.
Also discussed was a proposal to implement a special program between Perak state media and UPSI to be held at the university’s campus in Tanjung Malim.
