50 orphans celebrated Iftar at M Roof Hotel

IPOH: In embracing the spirit of Ramadan, a total of 49 orphans from Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh, Perak dan Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin celebrated iftar at M Roof Hotel here last night.

The program organized by the Ipoh City Council (MBI), M Roof Hotel, Pasaraya Econsave, Navira Meditech & Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) in collaboration with the Kelab Sukan & Kebajikan Media Perak was attended by over 200 guests.

It indirectly strengthens the relationship of friendship in an effort to increase the joy of Ramadan month this year.

In addition to various iftar dishes provided by the M Roof Hotel, the orphans were also cheered up with the gift of Eid money, school supplies and souvenir bags.

The program was also attended by the Mayor of Ipoh, Datuk Rumaizi Baharin; MBI Council Member; Director of The Perak Chinese Maternity Association, Datuk Lim Si Boon; Managing Director of Navira Meditech, S Rajasegaran; President Kelab Sukan & Kebajikan Media Perak, Rosli Mansor; North Region Manager 3, Econsave (Cash & Carry Sdn Bhd), Shah Effendy Rosman; Chairman & Founder of

Pertubuhan Baitul Aini Anak-Anak Yatim dan Miskin Ipoh, Datin Noraini Abdullah; Principal Pertubuhan Pusat Jagaan Anak-Anak Yatim Al Yassin, Norizan Razali; Senior Director and Head of MBI Department.

The orphans were taken to Econsave Chemor Supermarket in the afternoon to choose Raya clothes sponsored by Econsave Supermarket.

Iftar program in the evening was fully sponsored by M Roof Hotel.

Navira Meditech sponsored glasses and school bags while PCSH sponsored duit raya for the residents of the two orphanages.

In his speech, Rumaizi expressed his gratitude to Econsave Supermarket, M Roof Hotel, Navira Meditech and PCSH who have been with MBI in carrying out Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) projects, especially the Program MBI Prihatin.

“The program is expected to attract more parties who will cooperate in carrying out programs that benefit the needy,” he said.

He added that MBI has also channeled an allocation of approximately RM36,000 for breaking the fast at selected mosques and surau.

“InsyaAllah we will also choose from about 100 people in the B40 group to be given duit raya,” he said.

In addition to that, he said, at the same time the Kelab Sukan & Kebajikan Media Perak always work together with MBI every year to create coverage to encourage more supermarkets, hotels, hospitals and corporate companies to contribute and sponsor beneficial programs for the well-being of the underprivileged.
