15-Year Old Author to Launch Her First Novel

Angie Z, a Form 3 student at Ave Maria Convent Ipoh, is about to launch her first novel at the Ipoh Swimming Club (ISC) on April 2, Sunday, from 2 pm to 5 pm at the ISC Courtyard.

Her foray into writing began in 2020, during the MCO and lockdowns, when she herself was reading Science Fiction novels and watching movies. She was thus inspired to write her own Sci-Fi novel, and this she did throughout 2020/2021. The book, titled “No one’s Home”, was completed at the end of 2021 and published in 2022.

In addition to the sharing and book signing sessions, she would also be happy to do a question and answer session where youths can ask her questions related to her book and to writing, such as how to get started, how to monetize writing, how to publish their books and so forth.

In this way, she can hopefully inspire other youths in their journey to become writers and authors, or to just develop a passion for books and writing.
