KUALA LUMPUR – The Bukit Aman Criminal Investigation Department (JSJ) received a new leader when Datuk Seri Ayob Khan Mydin Pitchay was announced as the director of the department.
JSJ Bukit Aman is one of the most important and senior departments in the country’s policing.
Ayob Khan is currently the Director of the Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department (JSJN) Bukit Aman.
The matter was informed by the Malaysian Police Secretary, Royal Malaysian Police (PDRM), Datuk Noorsiah Mohd Saaduddin in a statement.
“The Director of JSJN Bukit Aman has been changed as the new Director of JSJ Bukit Aman, effective April 16,” she said.
Ayob Khan’s change as Director of JSJ Bukit Aman to replace the incumbent, Datuk Seri Abd Jalil Hassan who will retire compulsorily on the date in question.
Ayob Khan, who was previously the Chief Assistant Director of the Anti-Terrorism Division, Special Branch, Bukit Aman was appointed as Johor Police Chief on 6 March 2020.
He then returned to Bukit Aman after being appointed as Director of JSJN on 25 January 2022.
