IPOH: A delegation from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Malaysia visited Perak.
State Housing and Local Government Committee chairman, Sandrea Ng Shy Ching said the delegation was represented by Phoebe Yeh, Benjamin Hong and Philip Shih.
“I have received this visit together with Gopeng Member of Parliament, Tan Kar Hing; Wong Chai Yi, Wasanthee Sinnasamy, Hutan Melintang assemblyman and other friends.
“The state of Perak and Taiwan have a lot in common in facing the challenge of the disparity between cities and rural areas, as well as the young population concentrated in big cities,” she said.
She said the sharing of experiences and views was discussed a lot around issues of agricultural development, solid waste management, rural revitalization and so on.
“The delegation also had time to visit Taman Pocket Ampang developed by Kaki Gunung and the Dusun Limau Bali Tambun which is a famous agricultural product for the Ampang community,” she said.
