IPOH – The Jelapang State Legislative Assembly (DUN) office presented a death donation to the heirs of a deceased elderly person, Mariamman Letchumiah.
The 64-year-old woman who is a resident of Jelapang died due to bleeding in the brain.
The donation was an initiative of Jelapang assemblyman Cheah Pou Hian to finance the funeral costs of the deceased.
“The Jelapang state assembly is always concerned with everything that happens to the residents here, including assisting those in need.
“I offer my condolences to the family of the deceased, may they face the passing of their loved ones with fortitude,” he said.
Earlier, the donation of RM3,300 was received by the deceased’s sister, M. Susila.
The family of the deceased expressed their gratitude for the concern of the Jelapang assemblyman in delivering donations and treating them well.
