BANGKOK:The state government held a discussion session with Thai Travel Agents Association and Thai AirAsia at Bangkok, Thailand.
Chairman of the Tourism, Industry, Investment and Corridor Development Committee, Loh Sze Yee was present to participate in the discussion.
Loh said, the discussion is one of the state government’s efforts to promote Perak’s tourism industry and at the same time explore the potential of tourism in that country.
“We are doing our best to establish Perak as the new all-time favourite travel destination in the region and also exploring potential to bring several airlines/flights such as Thai AirAsia from Thailand to Ipoh -Sultan Azlan Shah Airport (LTSAS).
“One of our goals is helping to promote tourism industry in Perak, more importantly contribute to the success of the tourism collaboration in between Perak and Thailand,”.
Earlier, Loh was also present to hold a working visit and discussion on tourism cooperation between the State of Perak and Thailand at the Tourism Malaysia office, Bangkok and Baiyoke Sky Hotel, Bangkok.
Also present was the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Perak, Nurmalis Musa.
