KAMPAR: ‘Lihat Sampah Ambil’ (See Trash, Pick It Up) or in short ‘LiSA’ is the best approach to cultivate a sensitive attitude towards the environment among the community.
Kampar District Council Chairman (MDKpr) Ahmad Suqairy Alias said that the campaign is one of the practices he actively promotes to make the district clean and beautiful.
“The practice of seeing the garbage and removing it has been promoted by the Council to cultivate the attitude of Kampar residents to collect garbage together.
“Hopefully this campaign will become a practice and culture for all residents of Kampar,” he said.
He said this after officiating the Gotong Royong Lihat Sampah Ambil (LiSA) programme in Bandar Baru, Kampar, recently.
The program involves the collaboration of students from the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, Tunku Abdul Rahman University (UTAR).
In the program, Ahmad Suqairy also completed the officiated promotion by collecting recycling waste and domestic waste into the bins provided.
He said, MDKpr always hopes that the campaigns and programs that are organized will always get the support of the local people to ensure that the people of Kampar are in a clean and harmonious state.
