IPOH: Another Ramadan bazaar location that sells food at cheap prices has been launched in Ipoh to allow people to buy food for breaking the fast.
Bazar Ramadan Rahmah (BBR) which opened in Taman Cempaka here is located close to Politeknik Ungku Omar (PUO) and the residential area of students and the B40 group.
Previously, BRR at People’s Park was the first to be launched at the beginning of last Ramadan.
BRR Taman Cempaka has 53 stalls with 80 percent of existing traders offering RAHMAH Menu food.
The RAHMAH menu sets the price of food to be sold at no more than RM5.
There will also be a RM20 cash giveaway through the Touch n Go e-wallet to visitors who attend.
This is to encourage consumers and merchants to use cashless digital payments.
With this method merchants can diversify payment options including structuring their business with a more systematic cash flow record.
Yesterday, the Taman Cempaka BRR launch ceremony was completed by
Deputy Minister of Domestic Trade and Cost of Living, Fuziah Salleh.
At the same time, he also launched the MYSaveFood Ramadan campaign, which is an initiative to reduce food waste at Ramadan bazaar sites.
Through this campaign, NGO volunteers will collect surplus food that is not sold by traders to give to the needy.
