IPOH: In the excitement of celebrating Hari Raya, the role of those who cannot celebrate the big day with their families is not forgotten, especially the security forces department.

The state government continues the tradition of distributing food donations to 16 security forces and uniformed services in conjunction with the arrival of Syawal this year.

A total of 11,000 Raya food boxes were distributed as a memorial for them.

The items supplied in the Raya food box are rendang tok, dodol, Basmathi rice and coffee.

The distribution of the raya food boxes involved the military, police, Malaysian Maritime and other uniformed services such as the firefighters, customs, immigration department and health workers.

“This donation is so that the members who are on duty on Hari Raya Aidilfitri do not feel too sad.

“They can also taste kuih raya, ketupat and rendang just like everyone else during the festival,” he said.

Earlier, the packing work was led by the Menteri Besar’s wife, Datin Seri Aezer Zubin, who was assisted by 300 staff consisting of staff from the State Secretary’s Office and various agencies.
