IPOH: Members of the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) carried out a special service to help fallen trees that blocked the way during the festive season in three areas in the city today.
Assistant Director of Fire and Rescue Operations JBPM Perak, Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain said the three areas are the main route of the Ipoh-Lumut Highway at Simpang Bukit Kledang, Taman Rasi Jaya and Taman Bandar Baru in Menglembu.
He said the Pekan Baru and Menglembu Voluntary Fire Teams (PBS) also assisted the JBPM in the operation.
“PBS members also provided assistance to several locations of fallen trees that blocked the main route.
“A total of ten members from PBS Pekan Baru and six members from PBS Menglembu,” he said in a statement here tonight.
