LUMUT – The public had the opportunity to take a closer look at the warships of the TLDM (Royal Malaysian Navy) in conjunction with the 89th TLDM Day at the Lumut TLDMBase.
The event, which lasts for two days starting this Friday, can also be used by parents bringing their children to fill their school holidays.
The TLDM West Fleet Command Headquarters said in a statement that the various activities organized on that day also aimed to bring the Navy People closer to the community.
According to the statement, the program starts from 9 am to 5 pm and entry is free.
“Visitors can visit warships, see an exhibition of air assets, weaponry technology, a silent parade and a combat demonstration by the Naval Special Forces (Paskal).
“Also held is a souvenir stall,” said the statement.
TLDM Day which happens to be during the school holidays is also one of the most anticipated programs.
During TLDM’s open day last December, it attracted around 60,000 visitors.
This includes those who come from outside Perak as far as the Klang Valley and Penang.
