Ipoh’s Pride, Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh Dazzles At The Prestigious Met Gala

2023 marks Michelle Yeoh’s second year attending the Met Gala; fashion’s biggest night.
The highly sought-after annual event is organised by Vogue, and hosted by Anna Wintour. This year’s theme was “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty” as a tribute to the celebrated German fashion designer.
Dressed in Karl Lagerfeld’s namesake brand, Ipoh’s own Tan Sri Michelle Yeoh flaunted a classy black and white ensemble. With billowy, exaggerated organza puff sleeves, a button up bodice, an elegant, layered skirt, and an off–the-shoulder collar detail, her tuxedo-esque gown effortlessly balanced statement and subtlety.
Evergreen as always, she completed the look with sophisticated diamond jewellery and knee-high leather platform boots, each complete with a buckle element.
All smiles, Michelle took the gala by storm, embodying timelessness, and settling in second place after BLACKPINK’s Jennie on Vogue’s List for Best Dressed Asian Celebrities.
The Oscar-winning Actress shared with the paparazzi;
“I think it’s very special because, you know, it’s a homage to Karl Lagerfeld, and he’s such an inspiration to so many of us, especially as an artist. Someone who’s always innovative, creative, and… exciting.”
