SITIAWAN: A man was injured when the Proton Wira he was driving crashed into a drainage ditch near Taman Permatang Permai, Kampung Cina today.
Perak Fire and Rescue Operations Division (JBPM) Assistant Director, Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain, said he received a call regarding the incident at 11.58am before a team from the Sitiawan Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) rushed to the location.
“The car driven by an Indonesian man crashed into the drainage, however he managed to get out on his own, no other victims were involved,” he said in a statement today.
He said the firemen then gave initial treatment to the victim and handed him over to the ambulance for follow-up treatment.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Johari Tomin ended at 12.45pm.
