IPOH: Any party who tries to trespass into the Movie Animation Parks Studio (MAPS) theme park area may be subject to legal action.

Perak Menteri Besar, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said this when he was asked by reporters about the issue of the actions of a few social media influencers who have invaded the area in recent times.

Saarani pointed out that such action could be imposed as the theme park is now private property.

“MAPS as it is now, does not belong to the state government, it belongs to the creditor,” he said.

He said this at a press conference after attending the groundbreaking ceremony for the Build to Suit and Lease (BTSL) Mineral Processing Factory Development Project with Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn Bhd Bhd (Jinjing) in the Kanthan Industrial Area today.

Therefore, he said, in this issue, even though the theme park has been closed, the act of entering the theme park area without permission will still be subject to police action.

“So if someone enters without the property owner’s permission, they can file a police report.

“The police will investigate and take appropriate action,” he said.

Social media had gone viral earlier, regarding a social media influencer who entered the MAPS theme park area and displayed the condition of the theme park’s structure which was already in a dilapidated state.
