Get ready for a one-of-a-kind cultural experience in the heart of Ipoh! This weekend, the established Made in Ipoh Museum & Heritage Gift Shop at the Arlene House (Chung Thye Phin Building) will be hosting a special event, Rasa Nyonya & Museum Appreciation.
Taking place this Sunday, May 21st, 2023, and offering 2 sessions, this event is calling out all Nyonyas in Ipoh to participate, get to know the community and have a fun day out!
The Arlene House, which was commissioned in 1905 by the Tin Miners’ Association and served as the headquarters of the Last Kapitan of Malaya, Chung Thye Phin, will be the venue for this cultural experience.
Come in your best Nyonya Kebaya and experience the rich flavours of Nyonya cuisine with a cooking demonstration and tasting session. In addition to the cooking demo and outfit of the day moments, participants will receive special discount vouchers to be used at the Made in Ipoh Museum & Heritage Gift Shop, which showcases the fascinating stories of Ipoh’s past.
