The International IPOH Fashion Week (IIFW) has once again demonstrated its remarkable ability to bring together fashion enthusiasts, philanthropists, and the community at large for a noble cause. Season 4.0 of the event concluded with a handover ceremony recently, leaving a lasting impact on both the fashion industry and the lives of those in need. Under the inspiring motto of “Fashion with a heart,” IIFW has solidified its reputation as one of the most looked forward to events in Ipoh.
At the heart of this glamorous affair lies a deep sense of empathy and a commitment to making a difference. The IIFW 4.0 charity gala was a success, attracting generous sponsors, donors, and individuals dedicated to improving the lives of others. Thanks to their unwavering support, Hospital Raja Permaisuri Bainun (HRPB) was able to receive an astounding sum of RM104,883.96 for its Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), while Perak Foodbank received RM60,500 to further their admirable endeavours.
The substantial funds raised during the 4-day fashion charity gala have enabled HRPB’s Paediatric Care Unit to acquire state-of-the-art medical equipment. The specialized tools, including a Video Flexible Laryngoscope, a full set of Fabian Therapy Evolution from Acutronic in Switzerland, and a Pulse Oximeter with Reporting Software, will greatly enhance the hospital’s ability to provide exceptional care to young patients in need.
The highlight of the event was the gracious presence of HRH Raja Permaisuri Perak Darul Ridzuan, Tuanku Zara Salim, who visited the Paediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU), Paediatric High Dependency Unit (PHDU), and the Paediatric Surgical Ward. Her visit not only brought joy and encouragement to the young patients but also highlighted the significance of the cause that IIFW supports.
The IIFW founders, Mr. Louis Sebastian, Ms. Adeline Khan of Bizzness Management Services and team have worked tirelessly since the event’s inception in 2017 to create a platform that celebrates fashion, fosters local talent, and serves as a catalyst for positive change. Their vision has attracted the who’s who of Ipoh, including esteemed royals and dignitaries who have recognized the profound impact IIFW has on the community.
Beyond the glitz and glamour of the runway, IIFW has been instrumental in providing a stepping stone for emerging fashion designers and promoting the rich tapestry of Malaysian fashion. The event’s reputation has even extended beyond national borders, with renowned fashion labels and powerhouses from Singapore, China, Indonesia, Nepal, and other countries showcasing their creations at IIFW 4.0. This international collaboration has not only elevated the event’s stature but has also allowed the fashion faculties of UiTM Seri Iskandar and Kolej Komuniti Batu Gajah to gain exposure to a wider audience.
Louis Sebastian, the founder, and CEO of IIFW, expressed his gratitude, “Thanks to the support of our sponsors and donors, together, we have exemplified the true spirit of ‘Fashion with a heart’ and demonstrated the extraordinary things that can be achieved when compassion and fashion intertwine.”
In the words of Louis Sebastian, “IIFW 5.0 holds great promise as we strive to surpass our previous achievements. We are excited to bring together fashion, charity, and community once again, creating a platform where creativity meets compassion. Together, we can make a difference and continue to inspire positive change through the power of fashion.”
Stay tuned for the remarkable showcase of talent, compassion, and fashion-forward thinking as IIFW continues to evolve and make a lasting impact in Ipoh and beyond.
