LENGGONG: A man died in a road accident involving three vehicles on Jalan Kota Tampan, late last night.
Assistant Director of the Perak Fire and Rescue Operations Division (JBPM), Mohamadul Ehsan Mohd Zain, said he received a call regarding the incident at 11.40 pm.
He also said that members from the Lenggong Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) then rushed to the scene of the incident.
“There were six victims involving three vehicles. They were a lorry loaded with snacks (two men survived), a Proton Saga (the deceased driver) and a Perodua Myvi (two women and a man survived).
“The male victim from the Proton Saga was trapped and confirmed dead at the scene by the Malaysian Ministry of Health (KKM), he said on Saturday.
He said firefighters removed the trapped victims using rescue equipment and power units.
The victim was then handed over to the police for further action.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Nik Mohd Kamal Nik Yaakub ended at 1.03 am.
