IPOH – The state government has received a donation of 400 sacrificial cattle worth RM2.92 million from government-linked companies (GLCs) in Perak in conjunction with this year’s Hari Raya Korban (Eid al-Adha) celebration.
The donation was presented to the Chief Minister of Perak, Dato’ Seri Saarani Mohamad, during the Sacrificial Cattle Handover Ceremony at the Chief Minister’s Office in Perak.
Among the contributors, the Perak State Agricultural Development Corporation donated 220 cattle worth RM1.66 million, while the State Secretary Corporation of Perak and Perak Water Board each donated 50 cattle.
The Chief Minister Incorporated (MB Inc) and the Perak State Development Corporation (PKNPk) donated 40 cattle worth RM280,000.
The sacrificial cattle donations will be distributed to mosques, suraus, and slaughterhouses in all 59 State Assembly constituencies in Perak.
The distribution will be coordinated by Muslim Members of the State Assembly (ADN).
For non-Muslim ADN areas, the distribution of sacrificial cattle will be coordinated by the District Religious Officer (PTA) of each respective district.
