LUMUT: Perak’s Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (APMM) has received a complaint about finding the body of an unidentified man in the waters around Pulau Sembilan around 3.35pm yesterday.
Its director, Maritime Captain Mohd Hambali Ya’akup said the complaint was received from a local fisherman who found the body floating before contacting the Perak State Maritime Operations Center.
“Perak State Maritime mobilized patrol boat Benteng 06 to arrive at the scene of the incident at 4.43pm to take the body to the Jeti Perikanan, Kampung Acheh before handing it over to the police for further action.
“Maritim Malaysia is calling on the maritime community to come to the nearest police station if there are family members who have gone missing or who have not returned home within more than 24 hours to help with the investigation,” he said today.
