Buntong Community Hub Inaugurated

IPOH – Another Community Hub has been inaugurated, with Taman Harmoni Buntong Apartment selected as the fourth location for the implementation of this initiative.

The project is part of the Ministry of Local Government and Housing’s (KPKT) initiative through URBANICE Malaysia.

The Community Hub project aims to empower a prosperous, inclusive, and resilient community in line with the Sustainable Development Agenda 2030.

It places special emphasis on the B40 community to ensure a more prosperous, livable, and sustainable urban life for their daily activities.

The other Community Hub locations are in Kepong and Ampang Jaya in Kuala Lumpur, as well as Durian Tunggal in Melaka.

This project specifically focuses on the development of the B40 community, benefiting nearly 10,000 residents in the respective areas.

The initiative, managed by URBANICE Malaysia, has received full support from the Ipoh City Council (MBI), with CIMB Foundation as the main sponsor.

Earlier, the inauguration ceremony of the Buntong Community Hub was officiated by Deputy Secretary-General (Housing and Community Welfare), Suhaimi Ali@Ahmad, representing the minister.
