Buntong – The Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC) of Perak, in conjunction with MIYC Buntong branch and Sri Maha Karumariamman Muneeswarar Temple, held the Kalvi Maha Yagam Programme at the temple premises at Jalan Falim, Ipoh.
Among the activities held, was an exhibition for enrolment to Public Universities (Institut Pengajian Tinggi Awam or IPTA) and Private Universities (Institut Pengajian Tinggi Swasta or IPTS), as well as for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).
This programme involved a total of 200 participants from primary and secondary school students, as well university students and Perak youth. The programme’s aim is to benefit students in terms of education as well as to receive the blessings of Dewi Sri Maha Saraswathy before sitting for the end of semester exams. It is to give enthusiasm and confidence to the youth as well as foster the importance of knowledge to achieve one’s desired career goals, along with leadership and volunteering in line with the principle pillar of the country regarding the development of the country’s youth.
The programme’s ceremony was delivered by Sami Kakaji of the Sri Maha Karumariamman Muneeswarar Temple, Ipoh. Also with Tn Mathavan, Senior Fire Officer II of Ipoh District. Mrs. Amirthavalli, PPPT Officer, PUO Ipoh. En Santhana, Gerik Community College Officer, Perak. Mr. Tan Teck Yin, Chairman of JCI Kinta. and Sdra. Sp Palani, Branch Head of the Malaysian Indian Youth Council (MIYC) Sungai Siput, Perak.
MIYC Buntong thanked the youth of Perak who came together to enliven this programme. The positive feedback and encouraging response motivates them to continue this kind of beneficial programme, to produce more intelligent youth especially in the Buntong state assembly area.
They also send thanks to Taiping Advanced Technology Training Centre (ADTEC), the Perak State Fire and Rescue Department, Kinta District Malaysian Welfare Department (JKM), Perak State Social Security Organization (PERKESO), Gerik Community College, Perak. Perak Women’s Development, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Association, Nritya Kalanjali Dance Academy and Mayanakali Tappu Melam (Batu Gajah), who were also present to enliven the programme.
