Junior Chambers International (JCI) Ipoh held their 46th Installation Cum Appreciation Dinner at Oceanville Ipoh Kinta City Riverfront Hotel tonight.
The annual event not only celebrated and gave recognition to outstanding JCI members, but also saw the rotating out of the previous year’s president and his team, and the installation of a new president and JCI Ipoh team.
JCI is a NGO that seeks to develop the leadership qualities of its members as well as improve the community as a whole. Earlier this year, JCI Ipoh organised a Golf for the Deaf charity event, which collected RM12,000 for the Perak Deaf Sports Association (PESDef). They then followed up with the 520 Charity Movie event, which screened movies at TGV Cinema Aeon Kinta Mall for donors and less fortunate children. The proceeds of which, went toward supporting orphans.
In conjunction with this installation cum appreciation dinner even, memorandums of understanding for future good works were signed between JCI Ipoh and their supporters and sponsors, such as BEST Hearing Aid Centre, Seed Porcelain, World Mind Development (WMD), Pusat Terapi Heng Hong, and others.
They also previewed their upcoming charitable event, which will be a follow up to the previous 520 Charity Movie event, called 1010 Charity Movie. Stay tuned with Ipoh Echo for further details on that.
