Ipoh’s Hobbyist Scene Continues to Thrive
By KT Leong
For hobbyists in Ipoh and Perak in general, there was once a time when they would have to make a long trek to Kuala Lumpur to scratch their hobby-itch. But the local Ipoh and Perak hobby scene has been noticeably active for the last year.
For instance, a pop hobbyist event will be taking place at Level 4 of Bangunan Maju Perak (formerly known as Wisma Maju Perak) on July 15 (Saturday) from 3 pm to 12 am.
The event will feature loads of vendors, activities and more for all kinds of hobbyists. From Hot Wheel collectors to bike enthusiasts.
There will be a meet and greet with influencer, musician, actor and all around artiste, Adam John. Hot Wheels racing. Live printing with Dirty Donuts. Performances from DJ Turntablist, mapping with Nadio and even a bike show by Vesparado, Valley Machines and British Classic Bike.
Presented by Pasar Selam, this event’s organised by Hariel Helmet, HRZL Diecast Division, Bobylon and Kolek; with support by Kinikinta, Pincer and Filamen.
