IPOH: The Perak Lands and Mines Office (PTG) introduced another new initiative to facilitate the issuance of Copies of Title Deeds (DHK) involving multiple ownership.
Menteri Besar Perak said, Datuk Seri Saarani Mohamad said, It is implemented in the e-Tanah System by applying Section 343 of the National Land Code (KTN) through the storage of title at the relevant Registrar’s Office/Land Office.
“The initiative allows ownership rights that have multiple shares and do not know the position of the original ownership rights to make an application for lost ownership rights.
“Prior to this, there was an increase in applications for lost title involving the ownership of many documents as a result of documents being lost, damaged or detained by the co-owner, resulting in matters relating to transfer of ownership, mortgages and liens being unable to be carried out,” he said in a statement here today.
Saarani said, through this approach as well, the DHK issued will be kept by the Registrar or Land Administrator for any property rights owned by many registered owners.
According to him, it is implemented to prevent the application process of ownership rights being lost by other owners if there is a conflict issue where there is no agreement between the co-owners regarding the custody of ownership rights.
“In the e-Land System, the use of copies of title deeds to carry out transactions is no longer allowed and the owner has to submit the original title deeds, resulting in many shared land owners finding it difficult to complete the registration transaction since only one version can be issued for each title.
“Therefore, Section 343 that is applied is a facilitator to the joint ownership transaction process and accelerates the process of issuing extension or duplicate ownership rights through the e-Land System,” he said.
