TRONG: A man was successfully rescued after being stranded on rocks due to strong currents and water surge at Pusat Rekreasi Pecah Batu, last night.
A spokesperson for the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) Perak said that they received a call from a man regarding the incident at 6.46pm.
He said members from the Trong Fire and Rescue Station then rushed to the scene of the incident.
“Arriving at the scene of the incident, they found an adult man trapped on a rock and at that time the current of the river was strong.
“The head of operations sized up the situation and rescued the victim using a lifeline and appropriate tools,” he told reporters.
He explained further that the victim did not suffer any injuries.
The operation led by Senior Fire Officer II Yusrizal Chu ended at 7.05pm.
