SUNGAI SIPUT: Three men aged between 20 and 29 years old were arrested by the police after they were believed to be involved in a kindergarten break-in case, recently.
Sungai Siput District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Khaizam Ahmad Shahabudin said the successful arrest was the result of information provided by the public through the District Control Center (DCC) hotline.
He also said that the three suspects were arrested after the police from the Sungai Siput District Police Headquarters (IPD) chased the suspects using a vehicle in the Taman Tun Sambanthan area, on July 9.
“On July 9, a chase between the police and a man suspected of being involved in a kindergarten burglary case went viral on social media.
“As a result of the incident, the police managed to arrest three men and confiscated the case items, namely a Proton Wira type car, electrical items and equipment suspected of being used during the kindergarten break-in,” he told reporters today.
He further explained that all the suspects were remanded for five days starting last Monday until July 14 and the case was classified according to Section 457 of the Penal Code.
Therefore, he said, the public is advised not to make any speculations that could interfere with the investigation.
