PCSH Announces Own Ambulance Service Thanks To Generous Donation
by KT Leong
Continuing its legacy in serving the community, Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) proudly announces its first and very own ambulance service, which was launched on July 13, 2023. This marks yet another milestone for PCSH as the ambulance service is introduced exactly a year after the new 6-storey building was officially opened for operation.
Through the recommendation of the Ipoh Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association, this service was made possible by the family of Mr. Oon Kim Seng with their generous donation of RM160,000.00 for the ambulance service. This act of kindness will not only benefit the hospital but also the community.
The mock key handover ceremony was graced with the presence of the family of Mr. Oon Kim Seng, Mr. Oon Peng Lam, Vice President and Dato’ Ooi Foh Sing, the President of Ipoh Chinese Chin Woo Athletic Association, President of PCSH, Dato’ Lee Hau Hian, Mr. Tham Chee Phing and Dato’ Lim Si Boon, Directors of PCSH, Mr. Nicholas Chan, Chief Executive Officer of PCSH.
The main aim of introducing this service is to ensure that all patients are given access to immediate medical aids and treatment.
The ambulance is equipped with all the necessary medical equipment required to provide immediate medical responses.
Mr. Oon Kim Seng and his family hope that with this ambulance service, it will bridge the gap in reaching out to patients who lack access to such facilities.
In time of need, those with life-threatening health conditions tend to suffer more due to the unavailability of transportation to the nearest hospital. PCSH aims to make medical services seamlessly available to patients in their efforts to save more lives.
With the new ambulance service provided at PCSH and its affordable charges, everyone can now access the private medical facilities they deserve. Ambulance subsidies are given for patients under the PCSH Welfare Fund.
The management of PCSH would like to thank Mr. Oon Kim Seng and family for the generous donation made. This service would indeed lessen the burden of many patients both financially and physically.
