IPOH: Three houses in a row were destroyed in a fire in Persiaran Lahat Baru, Bandar Lahat, here this afternoon.
According to Perak Fire and Rescue Department’s (JBPM) Operations Division Assistant Director, Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad, he received a call regarding the incident at 12.42pm.
He also said that members of the Pasir Puteh Fire and Rescue Station (BBP) with the help of the Ipoh BBP, and Pekan Baru Volunteer Fire Brigade (PBS) and Pasir Pinji PBS rushed to the location.
“The fire involved three class A terraced houses with an area of 20×70 square feet, however there were no injuries or loss of life.
“The first house was destroyed by 20 percent, the second 70 percent and the third 30 percent,” he told reporters here today
He said, the fire brigade did the work of extinguishing the fire by using three 300-foot nozzles.
The operation led by Pasir Puteh Fire Station Chief Mohd Fazli Che Hussien ended at 2.48pm.
