BAGAN SERAI – To enliven the National Month celebration and raise the Jalur Gemilang (the Malaysian flag) in 2023, the Perak state government will be organizing more national and patriotic programs involving various districts.

These programs will be coordinated by the State Information Department and will engage participation from all agencies at the district level.

Mohd Azlan Helmi Helmi, the Exco of the State Committee for Communication, Multimedia, and NGOs, stated that the organization of such programs will involve collaboration with all agencies in each district.

He emphasized that this approach is essential to ensure that these programs have a widespread impact and achieve their objectives.

“The State Information Department will work closely with all agencies at the district level to increase the activities of raising the Jalur Gemilang.

We aim to involve the community to come together, and ultimately, the most important aspect is to instil a deep love for our country through the display of the Jalur Gemilang, making Malaysians love our nation and cherish unity,” he said.

He made these remarks after officiating the Jalur Gemilang Merdeka Convoy (KMJG) 2023 State-Level program, held at Bagan Serai Community College.

A total of 44 vehicles of various types were directly involved in the KMJG convoy in Perak.

The program engaged staff members from various departments and agencies.

The KMJG 2023 State Level convoy, which spanned over two days starting last Saturday, covered six areas: Ipoh, Teluk Intan, Manjung, Kuala Kangsar, Taiping, and Kerian.

The convoy will continue with the handing over of the Jalur Gemilang to Penang.

A total of 132 checkpoints throughout the country will be passed before the convoy concludes in Putrajaya on August 31.
