Perak Community Specialist Hospital (PCSH) jointly collaborated with Care Clinics to organise the Ipoh Primary Care Workshop on July 22, which was held at the Main Wing of PCSH, with Dr Janarthan, Orthopaedic Surgeon and Dr Subashini, Radiologist as the speakers from PCSH.
It was attended by 45 General Practitioners (GPs) from Perak, Kuala Lumpur, Selangor and Alor Setar, as well as top management from Care Clinics, such as Dr. Ram Prakash A/L Sreedharan, Head of Operation, Dr Azura Binti Ahmad, Head of Clinical Governance, Dr Thinesh A/L Velmunigan, Senior Governance Manager, Dr Romel Rauf Al-Abbas, Head of Finance and Marketing, Dr Syarifah Jasmin and Mr Nicholas Chan, Chief Executive Officer of PCSH.
During this 8-hour workshop, the GPs were taught the latest techniques, guidelines, equipment and advancements in office orthopaedics as well as ultrasound abdominal skills.
The workshop was very interactive during the hands-on session; using 4 ultrasound machines with real patients as well as mannequins. With live observation, the GPs got an in-depth exposure to the finer aspects of the procedures and learned from the experience.
