IPOH: Police are investigating the dangerous act of an individual lying on the road near Petronas Station Gunung Lang, Jalan Kuala Kangsar which went viral on social media recently.
Ipoh District Police Chief, Assistant Commissioner Yahaya Hassan said, at 4.30pm yesterday, the police detected a video uploaded by the owner of the twitter account @anthraxxx78 showing an individual lying on the road which attracted the attention of the public.
“In connection with that, a police report has been made and the case is being investigated under Section 283 of the Penal Code (offense of endangering or obstructing a public road).
“According to the information received so far, the incident is believed to have been recorded on Jalan Kuala Kangsar, Ipoh near the Petronas Gunung Lang Station on a date and time that has not yet been ascertained,” he said in a statement here last night.
Yahaya said that the police were searching for the individual and asked members of the public who witnessed this incident to come forward by contacting the Ipoh District Police Headquarters (IPD) Senior Investigating Officer, ASP Fadli Ahmad on 019 2500019 to assist with the investigation.
