Pangkor – The construction project of the Type 4 Health Clinic in Pangkor is set to be fully completed by April 2024.
A. Sivanesan, the Chairman of the State of Perak’s Health, Human Resources, National Integration, and Indian Community Affairs Committee, recently visited the construction site to oversee the ongoing works.
According to reports on the Perak State Health Department’s Facebook page, A. Sivanesan’s visit focused on the construction process of the clinic, which will provide health services to the residents of Pangkor to replace the old health clinic.
The project, developed by the Perak State Public Works Department (JKR), was initiated in the year 2020. It is intended to cater to the healthcare needs of both residents and tourists.
The building comprises components such as an Emergency Unit, Outpatient Unit, Maternal and Childcare Unit, Sickbay, Dental Health Unit, and Environmental Health Unit, as well as laboratories and diagnostic imaging facilities.
Also present during the visit were the Deputy Director of State Health (Management), Velan Supramaniam; the District Engineer of Manjung, IR Ramendra Loganathan; and Public Health Medical Officer, Dr Nur Intan Kartiniewatie Kamaruddin, representing the District Health Officer of Manjung.
