TANJUNG MALIM: A man died from a heart attack while driving and caused the car he was driving to lose control and crash into a Hindu temple at Jalan Kampung Lambak, here yesterday.
According to the Muallim District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hasni Mohd Nasir, following the accident, the victim Lok Ming Choy, 55, whose address is in Kampar Garden, Ipoh, was confirmed dead at the scene.
He also said that the Toyota Camry he was driving was crushed at the front, in addition to the cracked windshield
“At 8.40 morning, we received information from the public that there had been an accident at the Hindu Temple on Jalan Kampung Lambak involving a car that crashed.
“Preliminary investigations at the scene of the incident found that the victim was heading from Kampung Lambak towards Tanjung Malim town.
“On approaching the temple, the victim lost control and slid onto the right shoulder of the road crashing into the wall of the temple.
“The victim was confirmed dead at the scene of the accident,” he told reporters on Saturday.
He added that the autopsy results found the victim died of a heart attack.
He further said that the case was classified according to Section 41 (1) of the Road Transport Act (APJ) 1987.
