SLIM RIVER: A total of 1,000 people joined the convoy in conjunction with the Kembara Merdeka FAMA 2023 recently.
The program organised by the Federal Agricultural Marketing Board (FAMA) in collaboration with the Tanjong Malim District Council (MDTM) was held in conjunction with the 66th National Day.
The journey of 83 kilometres which started from Selayang to Taman Tasik YDP, Slim River was led by the Director General of FAMA, Abdul Rashid Bahri.
The arrival of the convoy participants was warmly welcomed by the officials and staff of the Muallim Land & District Office (PTD Muallim) and MDTM.
This program was held for the first time in conjunction with celebrating the anniversary of the national day and as a campaign to increase self-patriotism among the participants and encourage the people to put up and fly the Jalur Gemilang (Malaysian flag) in line with the independence theme “Determination for Unity, Fulfill Hope”.
In the same program, there was a gotong-royong perdana and distribution of Jalur Gemilang at Medan Selera Slim River.
