In line with this achievement, in collaboration with 16 hospitals nationwide, IHH Healthcare is set to conduct a Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) training event, which is poised to be recognised by the Malaysia Book of Records
Chong explained that this CPR training is part of the Nationwide A&E Campaign, aiming to convey information about comprehensive infrastructure readiness, commitment, responsibility, and societal responsiveness towards patients.
“Each hospital will select multiple agencies to achieve IHH Healthcare’s goal of maximum participation collectively,” she said.
Meanwhile, Ipoh’s Mayor, Dato’ Rumaizi Baharin, highlighted the significance of the Dr Little Club: A&E Life Saver on Call 2023 program.
He emphasized that this initiative offers early exposure to children, fostering their interest in future careers while equipping them to face emergencies.
“This program has the potential to broaden young minds and cultivate interests in careers such as specialized doctors, X-ray experts, nurses, and more within the medical field,” he stated in his speech before launching the Dr Little Event: A&E Lifesaver On Call 2023 program at PHI today.
The Dr Little Event – A&E Lifesaver On Call program successfully engaged the interest of 108 children aged 5-8 years.
Furthermore, this program provides children with the opportunity to delve further into knowledge related to emergency assistance and medicine through activities such as diarrhea treatment, heat stroke management, and fever control.
Health lectures for parents were also organized, featuring presentations by specialists in neurosurgery, respiratory medicine, and nurses from Pantai Hospital Ipoh.
These health talks focused on stroke-related illnesses and respiratory problems. Basic Life Support (BLS) training was also conducted by PHI nurses.
